NHL 11 by EA sports is scheduled to be released on September 7, 2010. The new NHL 11 hockey game is loaded with new features and is sure to be one of the most popular games for this Christmas season. If you have seen any of the new videos or demos then you know that the graphics have taken a giant leap forward. I can’t wait for NHL 11 to come out. I have already pre-ordered my copy and am waiting with baited breath.

Let’s go down the list of new features that this game has to offer. EA sports has introduced what it is calling their real-time physics engine. They are claiming that this is going to revolutionize all sports games. It brings in real time highlight style action into the game. From face-offs to checks, even taking shots from the ground, the real-time physics engine makes the game much more true to life and realistic.
In NHL 11 you can build your hockey team from the ground up. You can get prospects from the Canadian and American minor league’s, or try to acquire as many current superstars as possible. Everything comes into play when grouping teammates together. Even their chemistry and how they get along is factored into the game.

There have been many new gameplay enhancements. EA claims that they added over 200 new enhancements in to NHL 11. It has a new hit stick and hip checks. You can also break your stick in this game. They also claim that they have totally redone the face-off system.
I’m sure the online play will be extremely competitive. It never ceases to amaze me how good people get at these games in such a short amount of time. What I do know for sure, is that when my copy comes in I’m going to assemble a team and get online as soon as possible. I want to get my rankings up so that more people want to play with me.
So now that winter is coming it is time to buy a new video game. Hockey games have always been a favorite sports game for video gamers. I’m sure I will be playing NHL 11 all winter long.
